"And some things that should not have been forgotten were lost. History became legend. Legend became myth. And for two and a half thousand years, the ring passed out of all knowledge."

 ― Galadriel in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Lord of the Rings

For me, the above quote comes to mind this season of celebrating women and keeping with 'Breaking The bias.' Let's carefully look at the said biases stacked up against women. We will see that these biases are belief systems and patterns created by those who came before us. Somehow, these fabrications were woven into the cultural practices and nuances that have evolved into systems that now hold us captive.

So how do we set ourselves free from these biases? The knowledge rooted in the truth is key in doing this, not just the gathering of information now, but having that understanding and applying oneself wisely.

In this episode of the word café, we will be dealing with this in honoring the women. I have the privilege of doing this with five remarkable women who have taken the pledge in taking the fight one step further, and they are;
