What is Music, and why is it so crucial to human existence and communication?
Music is the art of arranging sound. It is one of the universal cultural aspects of all human societies. Music may be defined with styles that emphasize, de-emphasize, or omit common elements of organized sound, such as rhythm, volume, and pitch. Wikipedia
From the above definition, we can see that Music is a force that defines our existence, forms, and relationships. A combination of vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotions is seen in our everyday lives, and somehow we are moved by the sound of Music.
Music as an expression is presented in various forms and styles depending on the patterns, bits, and instrumentation. This is heavily influenced by the cultural nuances of the different people groups who express themselves by the use of sound rhythmically and so have created different blends.
These blends are categorized as follows, jazz, hip-hop, popular Music, Reggae, Blues, Rock, and Soul.
