John C. Maxwell said it best: "Everything rises and falls on leadership.

Everything in this statement above is an exception of nothing, more like our succeeding and failing in life is a function of leadership. So, the functioning of the earth is hinged on this one principle of leadership, which defines and dictates how the different structures of society work. Leadership can be expressed heart-fully or heartlessly.

So we can safely infer that leadership is subjective and not absolute in its operating and dispensing; its impact can be good or bad, depending on the disposition of the individual holding onto her reigns and calling the shorts.

The dispositions of individuals in terms of behaviour and character are very much connected to their emotions and personality. These two qualities that can be quantified in a way flow from our hearts, not referring to the biological organ that pumps blood throughout our bodies now, but rather the place from whence our Being is defined, and we give off the true essence of life and living.

So the question is, what does it mean to lead from the heart? This is the focus of discussion in this episode of the Word Café.
